Ingredients

For the sliders
  • 1 cooking spray for coating the baking dish
  • 1 package (12-count) Hawaiian rolls
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce whole-berry
  • 1 lb deli turkey sliced
  • 8 oz Swiss cheese sliced
For the butter topping
  • 4 tbsp butter unsalted
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp poppy seeds
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder

Equipment

  • 1 9x13-inch baking dish

Method

Assemble the sliders
  1. Heat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Coat a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  3. Slice the rolls in half horizontally as one slab.
  4. Place the bottom half in the dish.
  5. Spread the cranberry sauce over the bottom half.
  6. Layer the turkey over the cranberry sauce.
  7. Layer the Swiss cheese over the turkey.
  8. Place the top half of the rolls over the filling.
Make the butter topping and bake
  1. Melt the butter in a small microwave-safe bowl.
  2. Stir in the Dijon mustard, poppy seeds, and garlic powder.
  3. Brush the butter mixture evenly over the tops of the rolls.
  4. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  5. Uncover and bake for 5 to 8 minutes more, until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden.
  6. Let the sliders rest for 5 minutes before slicing apart and serving.

Notes

For neat layers, keep the rolls attached while slicing them horizontally. Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days; freezing is not recommended because the rolls may soften. For a dairy-free variation, use dairy-free Swiss-style slices and plant-based butter.
