Ingredients

For the butter
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 0.25 tsp salt fine
For the toppings
  • 0.25 cup dried cranberries finely chopped
  • 0.25 cup pomegranate arils
  • 0.25 cup pecans toasted and finely chopped
  • 1 tsp fresh rosemary finely chopped
  • 1 tsp orange zest finely grated
  • 2 tbsp honey
For serving
  • 1 baguette sliced into 1/2-inch slices

Equipment

  • 1 10x12-inch serving board

Method

Make the butter
  1. In a medium bowl, stir the softened butter and salt until evenly combined.
  2. Spread the butter over a 10x12-inch serving board with the back of a spoon.
Add the toppings
  1. Scatter the cranberries, pomegranate arils, pecans, rosemary, and orange zest evenly over the butter.
  2. Drizzle the honey over the top.
Serve
  1. Serve immediately with the sliced baguette, and discard any butter left at room temperature for more than 2 hours.

Notes

For the neatest spread, let the butter soften until easy to stir but not melted. Refrigerate leftovers covered for up to 4 days; freezing is not recommended because the toppings can lose their texture. For a dairy-free option, use a plant-based butter.
