  • 1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 packet (1 oz) au jus gravy mix
  • 0.5 cup pepperoncini sliced, drained
  • 2 tbsp pepperoncini brine
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter cut into pieces

Equipment

  • 1 3-quart slow cooker

Method

  1. Put the Lil Smokies in a 3-quart slow cooker and sprinkle with the ranch seasoning and au jus mix; add the pepperoncini, brine, and butter.
  2. Cover and cook on LOW for 2 to 3 hours or HIGH for 1 to 2 hours, stirring once, until the sausages are steaming hot and reach 165°F.
  3. Stir, then serve warm or hold on the slow cooker’s WARM setting.

Notes

For the most even heating, stir once during cooking and make sure the sausages reach 165°F. Refrigerate leftovers for 3 to 4 days; freezer-friendly for up to 2 months. For a gluten-free option, use certified gluten-free ranch seasoning and au jus gravy mix.
